For almost 40 years, the brand G-POWER has stood for first-class performance tuning of powerful vehicles – and for a long time this has not just been limited to models from BMW, which were once the only hobby horse of these specialists from Southern Germany, in particular the M variants, of course. And although the team around Zoran Zorneke and Bujar Bunjaku is now also upgrading AMG, Porsche, etc., they are by no means forgetting their roots. So now, a brand-new highlight based on the BMW M is ready at the starting line and is continuing the long-standing company tradition of the bruteforced HURRICANE models with complete conversion: the G5M CS HURRICANE RR, which is based on the limited-edition special model BMW F90 M5 CS. An essential component of this was the optimization of the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 (S63B44T4), which increases the power of the unit to an impressive 900 hp (662 kW) and 1,050 Nm. In terms of hardware, this is achieved by new forged pistons and connecting rods, CAD-developed air coolers, as well as a turbocharger upgrade with larger, CNC-milled turbine and compressor housings, performance-optimized turbine blades, as well as larger compressor and turbine wheels. On top of that came the performance software GP-900 and the G-POWER DEEPTONE exhaust system, which gives the G5M HURRICANE RR its absolutely characteristic and unmistakable G-POWER sound. It is 100% “Made in Germany” and has been the defining feature of the potent creations by G-POWER for 30 years now. The DEEPTONE exhaust system also helps to increase the power thanks to the reduction in the exhaust back pressure. The Vmax limit has also been raised to 207 mph. Of course, with such an enormous power boost, G-POWER has made sure that the whole package is harmonious in order to guarantee good drivability and reliable longevity. Visually, the G5M CS HURRICANE RR has also been extensively customized: It comes either with HURRICANE RR or RS rims in 9×21 and 10.5×21 inches with 285/30 and 295/30 tires. The VENTURI RR or RS carbon engine hood not only looks spectacular, but also facilitates ventilation and thus thermal management of the engine space. The DYNAMIC rear spoiler made of carbon rounds off the package. As an alternative to the HURRICANE RR upgrade, G-POWER is also offering various other packages for the M5 CS. For example, the G5M CS HURRICANE RS delivers 840 hp and the G5M CS Bi-TURBO variants come in the power classes 800, 750 and 700 hp. And, last but not least, the performance software is available in several different versions and the engine hardware and aesthetic components can be bought separately. So, whatever it is you need, there is always the right solution for you…
